PROPERTY FOR SALE

According to today's Sunday Mail, Jimmy Savile's Glencoe property is to be auctioned.

FOR SALE, BY AUCTION:  ALLT-NA-REIGH COTTAGE, GLENCOE

Property Description
A delightful, charming and secluded, white washed, "two bedroomed", stone-built traditional cottage, dating to around 1900, positioned in one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland. Ideal for holiday or family home.

Situation
Allt-na-reigh is located at the head of Glencoe, close to the Devil's Staircase, two Munroes, and a Marilyn. The glen itself is notable for the infamous MacDonald massacre - a blood sacrifice to William of Orange and his House of Stuart wife, Mary. That was a long time ago though. The closest railway station is Fort William, some 33 miles or so away.

Description
A turn of the century, single storey cottage, under a timber and tile roof.  In need of modernisation and refurbishment. The property was previously seasonally occupied by an elderly person who recently died. Unfortunately, given his chequered history, the premises have recently been targeted by vandals. On the other hand, the cottage was once owned by mountaineer, Hamish MacInnes, and has been visited at least once by Prince Charles who was, on that occasion,  greeted by a trio of buxom, pinafore wearing, "beauties".

Accommodation
Currently comprises living room, one master bedroom, one single bedroom currently used as satanic-alter room, a study, currently used as torture chamber, one bathroom and a kitchen.

Gardens
The gardens are laid to lawn, prospective purchasers may wish to consider what lies below.

Services
Mains electricity, Telephone connection. The property is served by a private water supply. There is a septic tank and soakaway. There is no heating.

Council Tax
Allt-na-reigh is Council Tax band D

Possession and Entry
The property may well be possessed. We would suggest some sort of exorcism process be carried out before entry.

Viewing
We would strongly recommend viewing, preferably in the company of a man of the cloth.

Or perhaps not.

cheers
