1984, Live Aid & Gaga

At the weekend the media were jam-packed with stories about the Live Aid re-release, the original recorded in 1984, some thirty years ago.

The Scotsman newspaper reports today on the the launch of a vintage edition, single malt whisky, named 1984.

It has been produced by the Jura distillery in recognition of the fact that George Orwell wrote his dark, quasi-prophetic novel on the Scottish island in 1946. He was fed up with London, was becoming "more and more like a sucked orange", and thus borrowed a cottage from his friend David Astor, a gentleman who George (Eric) is now buried alongside in All Saints Churchyard.

The Astor family are well connected to say the least.

British Prime Minister, David Cameron, is married into the clan by virtue of Samantha.

Some people believe that Jura is Hinba, a place where the "bringer of Christianity to Scotland", Saint Columba, retreated for prayer and reflection after founding a "monastic community" on Iona.

It was Columba who, allegedly, first encountered what is known today as the Loch Ness Monster.

The Monster has been unusually busy for this time of year.

The Daily Record reported sightings via images in it's publication on both 9/11 and 7/11.

Occultist, Aleister Crowley, liked Loch Ness and it's on-shore residence Boleskine House. He believed that it was the focal point for energies pertaining to the Aeon of Horus. All the recent "monster" sightings came after Crowley's departure.

Delicately probing Gaga

Last weekend Lady Gaga performed her track Applause on family TV programme, The X Factor. The performance climaxed with her rolling around the stage-floor, attired only in underwear. 

Gaga's latest album, ARTPOP, is due for release on 11/11 whilst her new single, Dope, is due for release on 4/11. According to the mail on line, Gaga tweeted that "Dope will be available 12:01am local time". Bear in mind that 121 is 11 x 11, I will return to that at the end.

I found an article on the video for Gaga's Applause, apparently written by someone with "a degree in comparative literature", and thought it might be worth exploring the discussed themes in a more esoteric manner. The video begins by visually referencing the movie Metropolis, as a winged Gaga descends. Metropolis has  been described as "a society where the New World Order has already been implemented and a select elite live in luxury while a dehumanised mass work and live in a highly monitored hell"... "pop stars are often portrayed as the character Maria, an android programmed to corrupt the morals of the workers and incite a revolt, giving the elite an excuse to use violent repression" (Viligant Citizen).  Gaga has used the imagery before, in her singles Alejandro and Born this Way, whilst she was photographed as an android against a Metropolis-inspired background in 2009. Whilst from wiki: "The film drew heavily on Biblical sources for several of its key set-pieces. During her first talk to the workers, Maria uses the story of the Tower of Babel to highlight the discord between the intellectuals and the workers"

Next, Gaga in her pants, allegedly in a "cat pose", on a bare mattress. Apparently this alludes to a young Gaga, fresh out of school and dreaming of her future. Which it quite possibly does, but not in a nice way.

The movie The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is the root of Gaga's next trick, as she emerges, rather bewildered looking, from a cauldron. In the film, the doctor controls a sleepwalker through a form of hypnosis.  One can only imagine what Gaga is alluding to.

The Seventh Seal is the impetus for Gaga's next portrayal - a movie which "deals with issues of spirituality, God, the devil, and general mortality in a plague-ridden town". The film title comes from the Biblical Book of Revelation, whilst it's main theme revolves around the  "silence of God" wiki

Up next is Gaga appearing in a magician's top-hat. The magician may be her, given her name on the hat, or maybe it's been made personally for her by the magician.  All science was once magic.

Gaga in a bird cage - potentially symbolising entrapment. She is dressed Warhol-style.

Pierott, according to the main source, the sad clown. It reminds me though of Dahl's sad story, James and the Giant Peach.

There's another myth which does the rounds, stating that the Biblical Garden of Eden story with Eve and the serpent is allegorical, and refers to a hypothesis that humans were genetically engineered by aliens (Gods) to be their worker slaves. Lucifer - a fallen angel, was the serpent, and told the humans (Adan and Eve) the truth (the fruit). Adam and Eve rebelled. Hence Lucifer is worshipped in certain quarters as a light-bringer, the one who illuminated humanity, in terms of  knowledge.

An semi-reptilian Gaga, though according to the source,  "influenced by photographer Cindy Sherman" : "That’s the kind of dedication and passion to shapeshifting that Gaga aspires to and practices herself".

Centaur, a mythical half horse - human hybrid, again a reference to duality. Also the symbol for the star-sign Sagittarius (and galactic centre). Centaurs, according to myth, pulled the chariot of Dionysus.

Inspired by German photographer Horst P Horst : "Given the context of “Applause,” the divine imagery lends itself to the idea that Gaga will always sacrifice herself in the name of her art.".

A human pyramid follows, apparently alluding to Gaga's previous Born this Way song, which includes the lyrics : " On Goat, a government-owned alien territory and space, A birth of magnificent and magical proportions took place.....But on that same day, As the eternal mother hovered in the multiverse, Another more terrifying birth took place, The birth of evil  (here). Our source though, puts the mind at rest : "Both of these images bear resemblance to many works portraying “The Last Judgment,” like those by Jan van Eyck, Michelangelo, Hans Memling, and “The Gates of Hell” by Rodin.They all feature a divine figure atop stacks of writhing bodies, representative of the underworld."

The pyramid  illuminates : "we see the people in the pyramid aren’t weak or writhing at all; instead, these are strong bodybuilders wearing latex swimsuits, flexing their oiled-up muscles" ..."
It’s still a death scene in a few ways: Gaga is wearing her Death costume, and given what we know about the myth of Icarus, we know she’ll soon fall after reaching the sun". Bear in mind what I noted above re the fallen angel, Lucifer, and worker slaves.

Venus Botticelli. Venus is strongly associated with Lucifer in esoterica. Note that Applause was released on August 19th,  "the date of Vinalia Rustica, the oldest-known Latin festival honoring Venus. The day celebrates gardens, harvest, wine, and fertility." Note the above-mentioned centaurs, their love of wine, Dionysus (who I mentioned above), and an old post of mine -Wine, Woman, and Song - where I attempted to qualify various goings on between Gaga, Amy Winehouse, wine quaffing, Alex Ferguson, Sean Connery, and Andy Murray's mum. Yeah, honestly.

Glove-kini. Apparently there are two ways to read this:
  
1) As the object and entertainment up for offer, the hands are both her Little Monsters clutching at her for more, but also claiming ownership over her. She’s their jester, after all, right?

2) She also throws up the “all-seeing eye” or “eye of providence,” which represents an eye of God watching over humankind and the universe. If she is a deity — which she often alludes to here — the hands could symbolize her followers looking to her for guidance and strength.

I'll go for a mix of both but, as above, not in a positive manner.

Black Swan - "The “black swan theory” was created by statistician Nassim Nicholas Taleb, who describes a “black swan” as a highly improbable, rare event that occurs as a surprise, produces a major effect, and can be rationalized by hindsight." Watch this space.

Revelations by Alvin Ailey is the basis for this, apparently. Revelations "tells the story of African-American faith and tenacity from slavery to freedom" . Alvin and his band were/are one of the kinds of "Christians".

Shakti is Gaga's next target, a Hindu goddess of some distinction. For "Not only is Shakti responsible for creation, it is also the agent of all change". Gaga, in Shakti guise, wanders with a giant mannequin leg in tow : "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."

 

Gaga,  like on X factor, writhes on floor. She still wears "glove-kini". Her hand could maybe be mistaken for something else, the androgynous work slave, the elite's one sexed, golden child.

Burtons Biscuits shortbread tin. Most of the workers at Burton's Edinburgh plant are now from an Eastern European background, are highly mobile, and are willing to work for crumbs.

Yesterday's Double standards post noted blood-sport loving Princes Charles and William frowning at the exploitation of animals in respect of the "middle classes" desire for "exotic products reflecting their economic prosperity and status".

In the same vein, today's BBC contains a bizarre story regarding an design student, Jocelyn Brown, who has fashioned handbags from the lining of the stomach of a highland cow, bags which her tutor claims would be ideal for that infamous mind control victim, Lady Gaga. Jocelyn claims that "40 percent of the animal is edible but a lot of the off cuts, like tripe, are used for dog food".  No mention is given of how much one of the bags would potentially cost, although one would envisage that they would not be mass-produced for the "lower classes".

Some might suggest that William and Charles were hinting at, in respect of the "middle class" terminology utilised, the elite game plan. As such Jocelyn may struggle to find a market in the future other than Gaga.  Basically what is being undertaken is a new global Garden of Eden with new Gods (the very upper class) and "naked", dumbed down, Adam and Eves ( a greatly diminished in size all the rest of us).

It won't be that difficult to complete, the bulk of the engineering having been done, just a final few tweaks are all that's required, for example global economic meltdown. From Eden, outer space colonisation beckons...

UKIP symbol, rotated 90 degrees

Politics is something rarely touched here, I see the left and right wings in an ornithological manner, as part of the same bird - a phoenix. Yesterday though, a rare visitor to Scotland caught my potentially vivid imagination.

Traditionally in Britain there were two or three main political parties, Labour, Conservatives and Liberals. Recently though, a new party has emerged - UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party), led by a Nigel Farage. UKIP want an end to immigration and want Britain out of Europe.

Yesterday, Nigel visited Edinburgh to promote his Aberdeenshire (North East corner of Scotland) by-election candidate, Otto Inglis. He chose a public house called the Canons' Gait for his press conference, however things did not go according to plan - or maybe they did. A group of "protesters" from  Radical Independence Edinburgh, who allegedly promote Scottish Independence, arrived and jeered him with cries of Nazi, racist scumbag, bawbag, and a mixture of these terms. A bawbag is a scrotum, baw being colloquial for ball. (mail on line) (Scottish Sun) Nigel needed a police escort.

Nigel said that the demonstration appeared to be anti-English, which may well be the case, and appears to show up exactly why my phoenix-orientated philosophies hold true. Left wing Scottish independence supporters call right wing United Kingdom independence supporters Nazis whilst preventing them from speaking. 

The Canons' Gait is a pub with a claim to fame. It nestles at 232 Canongate, which itself is part of the Royal Mile, a street linking Edinburgh Castle with Royal Holyrood Palace. Back in the 1500's, Mary Queen of Scots' tailor, Jacques de Soulis, lived at the same address. The bar advertises this fact prominently.

House of Stuart, Mary Queen of Scots (MQOS), was the mother of James 6th and 1st, the Bible reviser and promoter, UK amalgamater, and propagator of the "divine right of Kings". Mary was executed, creating heaps of public sympathy thus James - a protestant Stuart - was fairly popular with the masses. One can perhaps see modern parallels. 

Let's turn to Lady Gaga. Almost exactly two years ago, on May 15th 2011, Gaga played a concert at Carlisle. It was part of BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. It spoke volumes to me, because her appearance came exactly 444 years to the day after MQOS married James Hepburn in a protestant ceremony (unusual for catholic Stuarts). MQOS was beheaded after imprisonment at Carlisle. Gaga, attired in prosthetic pregnancy bump, dedicated a track, Orange Colored Sky, to Prince William and Kate. The colour orange is linked to the Protestant "faith".  Her performance ended with a song called Judas.

Wine, women, and song.

As noted in my last post, Saturday night saw ram's headed  Lady Gaga in London, extolling Princess Diana while performing her new track, Lady D.I.E., and dedicating it to Amy Winehouse, who died of drink and drug abuse. Something I never mentioned was that in the process she  "instructed the 100,000 strong crowd to flash their boobies", whilst insisting that there should be doses of "singing, dancing, vomiting, and smoking". Some say Gaga has a penis; although perhaps it is prosthetic.

Gaga played a twin gig on the Sunday.

Sunday also saw the closing ceremony of the Paralympic games with Coldplay, Jay Z and Rihanna, which the mail on line compared to a post-apocalyptic Mad Max style invasion. Certainly, it was grim, although perhaps not as bad as Mel Gibson's Scottish accent in Braveheart.

Monday 10th September saw the final 2012 parade in London, nearly a million people turning out to line the route from Mansion House to Buckingham Palace where they were treated to tracks by the Pet Shop Boys and a fly-over by the Red Arrows. (here)

   
Monday 10th also saw Scotsman, Andy Murray, win the US tennis open in New York. Apparently he was inspired by Manchester United (Red Devils) manager, Alex Ferguson, who was shouting encouragement from the stands. The Scottish Sun is calling this Fergietale of New York. In my post from Sunday, Brothers in Arms , I noted how Fergie and 007 Sean Connery had "invaded" the semi-final press conference whilst claiming Scotland "invented the world". Something I missed at the time which has become extremely relevant  is that Andy stated  to his mum, Connery and Ferguson that "you smell of wine". (Note that in terms of the  sun's position in the heavens and the current leap year, 11th Sept is 10th Sept, if you follow that explanation). 

 Tuesday 11th saw Prince William and Kate arrive in Singapore for their Far East tour. First stop was the Botanical Gardens where they saw an white orchid named after Princess Diana. From wiki we note of the  Greek myth behind the  naming of this species of plant, "Orchis, the son of a nymph and a satyr, came upon a festival of Dionysius in the  forest. He drank too much, and attempted to rape a priestess of Dionysios. For his insult, he was torn apart by the Bacchanalians. His father prayed for him to be restored, but the gods instead changed him into a flower". Also from wiki we learn that the name Orchid comes directly from the Greek for "testicle".

After the Botanical Garden visit, Wills and Kate enjoyed a slap-up seven course meal. Wills quaffed his wine, although Kate instead chose water for the twin toasts -  fuelling more media headlines that she may be pregnant. 

In 2010, I  wrote a post called the Braveheart Enigma, detailing the  misfortune of 3 Scottish Bravehearts - an alleged gangster, Mel Gibson, and ex national football captain, Colin Hendry. On Saturday just past, the Scottish Sun told of how Hendry has been forced to sell his medals (thinking  Olympics) to pay off debts accrued through "drinking and gambling heavily".
 

The thread between all the above is the Greek deity, Dionysus, god of "grape harvest, wine, winemaking, ritual madness and ecstacy". That's not to forget the "human followers" of the Dionysian mysteries, who used "intoxicants, and other trance inducing techniques (like dance and music) to remove inhibitions and social restraints". Then there's the parallels between Dionysus and Jesus, with scholars of comparative  mythology noting that both identify with the dying and returning god archetype. (wiki)

Note : since I posted this morning, Amy Winehouse's former boyfriend, Reg Traviss, has appeared in court charged with rape on 31st December. The alleged victim was drunk  BBC.

Also, Prince William has advised that if he was to have a "super-power", it would be invisibility (here), something he already possesses to a certain extent. Note too that the cult of Dionysus was closely associated with trees, today we saw William and Kate plant a money tree, something that speaks volumes for our future.
