Relevant to many earlier posts, we read fresh from the BBC that the Dunfermline, Scotland's largest building society, has effectively collapsed and thus having to be sold off - apparently under pressure from a "tri-partite" conglomurate including the Bank of England and the Government - therefore no doubt moving, at least partly, into "state" control.
