Mulling over these football events-
Rangers [ famous opponents of Celtic ] go to Manchester where Man Utd play. They are 'friends' with Celtic with both clubs Irish connexions.
In football fanzine mythology Chelsea, Birmingham and Rangers were seen as the 'True Blue' clubs, ' Long live the Queen'
Thus Chelsea - Man U = Rangers-Celtic for Southerners.
Rangers play a Russian club in Manchester , while Chelsea and Manchester play in Russia
Rangers play against their former manager Dick Advocaat [ Dutch-Orange]. Abramovich takes 'his' team home to Russia.
Ferguson , from Glasgow[nearly] could be said to have reached the Zenith of his football career.
On Sunday I went to take some photos of a hotel built for Communists, very Russian looking, lots of friezes of workers etc. Its the last day of the Premiership. Standing in the foyer were Mr & Mrs Jack Charlton.
