 I touched on the anti-immigration group, English Defence League, at the beginning of June (Where do they all come from) including older images of some of their members posing with a Star of David, as below. Wherever the EDL hold a demonstration or march, the anti-fascists are are sure to be there, as they consider them Nazis.

What they actually have to do with the state of Israel was beyond me, my thinking being more along the lines of "British Israelism", however according to yesterday's BBC, UK Home Secretary, Teresa May, is considering banning two US bloggers from entering the country and speaking at an EDL rally to be held at Woolwich, scene of the alleged murder of Lee Rigby.

The dastardly duo are Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer. "prominent anti-Islamisation campaigners" who presence at the event Home affairs committe chairman, Keith Vaz, feels will "fuel the fire". Apparently the gruesome twosome are co-founders of a group called American Freedom Defence Initiative, who were responsible for creating a pro-Israel "Defeat Jihad" poster campaign on the New York subway.

Additionally, an anti fascist group, Hope not Hate, have began a petition calling on Teresa May to exclude the pair, Geller responding via Twitter, calling it an example of "fascism and hate" akin to "SS like thuggery". If Geller does make it here, it will be interesting, to say the least, of what she makes of the ubiquitous anti-fascist counter protest.
