  2. Hiya Miss P., thanks.

Today it was revealed that there was more opium being produced in Afghanistan, than ever before.

Is "winning hearts and minds" a standard media catch phrase in the USA, for the ongoing war on terror in Iraq etc. - as it is over here.

I would be most interested to know.

    cheers

  3. Hearing the BBC news on the radio today, I was curious why they kept repeating "opium" throughout. There was no mention of Afghanistan supplying 93% of the world's HEROIN.(the UN's own figure)
They did mention the word precursor once though, giving a nod to the millions of gallons of chemicals needed to manufacture the finished product.

    Cheers

  5. "Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a big fucking television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disk players and electrical tin openers...choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on the couch, watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life. But why would I want to do a thing lke that? I chose not to choose life. I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?"
